About the Muckleshoot Writing Center
The Muckleshoot Tribal College Writing Center, funded though the Gates Foundation and Lumina Foundation (Read more about the Seemless Pathways Initiative), is a resource for students and faculty who need writing assistance and other writing resources, such as tutorials, videos, and reference books. Staff and volunteers provide one-on-one instruction, paper editing, and classroom support for writing faculty. The warm, quiet environment of the center welcomes writers who are at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas for an assignment to revising a final draft.

A note from Alicia, the new Writing Instructor:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and the newly revamped Writing Center at the Muckleshoot Tribal College. I am working in collaboration with instructors from a wide variety of programs to assist students with their diverse writing needs. Services offered include: one-on-one tutoring, small group workshops and editing support.
I’m originally from Buffalo, NY and earned my M.A. from the Native Voices program at the University of Washington. I have greatly enjoyed teaching here with NWIC since September and am appreciative of the opportunity to help students develop mastery of the writing process. Please feel free to stop by or contact me if you have any questions about the writing and tutoring services I provide. I look forward to the growth of the new Writing Center as a resource for students for both writing and academic support.
